1. Open the Drone Mobile app

6. Keep your vehicle running during the entire update
7. Do not close the app until update completes

Drone XC LTE Dash Cam Update

Prerequisites

• Active Drone Mobile subscription
• Drone Mobile app installed
• Dash cam powered on
• Stable Wi-Fi connection
• Vehicle parked safely

Update Steps

1. Connect your smartphone to the same Wi-Fi network as the dash cam
2. Open the Drone Mobile app
3. Go to Settings > Dash Cam Settings
4. Select “Firmware Update”
5. If available, tap “Download and Install”
6. Wait for the update to complete (approximately 5-10 minutes)

Required Materials

• Provided screwdriver
• Computer or tablet with SD card reader
• Internet connection (for initial download only)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Removing the SD Card

1. Locate the Micro-SD card slot on the side of the dash came under the security cover
2. Use the provided screwdriver to remove the security screw and cover
3. Gently push the Micro-SD card to eject it from the camera

Downloading and Transferring Firmware

1. Insert the Micro-SD card into your computer/tablet
2. Download the firmware update:

• Direct download: https://xc-firmware.s3.amazonaws.com/xc-firmware.zip

1. Extract the ZIP file contents
2. Copy all extracted files to the root directory of the Micro-SD card
3. Safely eject the Micro-SD card

Completing the Update

1. Re-insert the Micro-SD card into the dash cam
2. Power cycle the device using either method:

• Press the pinhole button on the side of the dash cam
• Disconnect and reconnect the power cable
